The Green Protein Smoothie-Your Health Game Changer

You are a busy mom, right?  You know you should eat breakfast, and are you?  I’ve spoken with too many moms that put so much of their love and effort into feeding their kids well and then don’t make time to feed themselves in the same loving way.  I hear too often that they don’t have the time to make a healthy breakfast or that there are so many choices that they feel overwhelmed by what to eat that will give them the energy they need to sustain them, help them lose weight and or keep weight off.

HANDS DOWN BEST, MOST BALANCED BREAKFAST THAT ONE CAN CHOOSE- THE GREEN PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

With all its yummy goodness of healthy foods & superfoods like spinach, kale, blueberries, flax seed, bee pollen, protein powder, healthy fats like coconut oil, MCT or olive oil, etc., why would you consider anything else? And since it is in liquid form, less stress on your digestive tract and quicker for your body to absorb all of its health benefits.

Add all of your chosen ingredients to a blender, my favorite is the Blendtec,  blend, pour and enjoy.  SIMPLE!

MY FAVORITE GREEN PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

  • 12 oz. unsweetened almond or coconut milk
  • 3-4 large handfuls of greens (I alternate spinach, power greens, and kale)
  • ½ cup of frozen fruit (I recommend low sugar choices like blueberries, mixed berries, raspberries or blackberries)
  • 1-2 T organic ground flaxseed
  • 1 t bee pollen (try a smaller amount first to ensure there is not an allergic reaction to the bee pollen)
  • 2 T organic cacao powder (optional for the chocolate lovers! 😊)
  • 1 scoop plant-based vanilla protein powder or bone broth protein (I alternate Plant Fusion, Growing Naturals Pea Protein & Ancient Nutrients)
  • 1 T oil (I love Bulletproof Brain Octane oil, organic coconut oil & organic olive oil)
  • 1 c ice cubes

Blend, drink and enjoy experiencing all the nutrients absorbing into your body. Let there by gratitude for your new, healthy and simple breakfast that requires a few minutes to prepare and clean up.
